Jackie Gibson-Jacobowitz

OCP provides services under the direction of Jackie Gibson-Jacobowitz, LMHC, MCAP with 26 years of experience of treating substance abuse and specializing in Trauma Therapy.  Jackie and her experienced staff understand addiction and the co-occurrence of emotional issues underlying substance abuse. Jackie Gibson is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Master’s Certified Addictions Professional. As a Qualified Supervisor for the State of Florida, Jackie supervises master’s level clinicians throughout the state for licensure requirements.

Rene Seuntjens

LCSW, EMDR Practitioner

Rene has been with OCP since they opened their doors to the community of Marion County in 2013.  Rene has over 16 years of experience working with children and adolescents that have been abused both sexually and physically. Rene graduated from Florida State University with her Master’s in Social Work. As a Qualified Supervisor for the State of Florida, Rene supervises master’s level social work clinicians throughout the state for licensure requirements.

David has worked in the mental health field for many years and specializes in trauma and addiction as well as sexual dependency. David is a Christian based counselor that also enjoys working with couples and families. David has a long professional history of working with multiple populations.

Matthew Merchant

Matt has multiple areas of specialty that include counseling in anger management, substance abuse, and mental health. Matt works with adolescents and adults and specializes in Industrial/Organizational psychology and a strong approach of CBT in all his work. Matt is OCP’s liaison for multiple organizations within the community and is a management team member.

MA, Marriage & Family Counselor, EMDR Practitioner

A compassionate and seasoned Marriage and Family Therapist with 13 years of clinical experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through some of life’s most challenging transitions. Skilled in treating substance abuse, trauma, and complex relational patterns, with specialized training as a Trauma-Informed clinician and certified EMDR practitioner.


With a grounded, empathetic approach, this therapist helps clients heal from grief and loss, empty-nest transitions, and the effects of narcissistic abuse, guiding them toward emotional clarity, resilience, and restored self-worth. Known for blending evidence-based modalities with a warm, client-centered style, she creates a safe and supportive environment where growth, insight, and long-term healing can take place.

Ashley Young

MA, A.R.T. Practitioner, TF- CBT

Ashley has worked with children and families for 6 years as an adoption case manager and practices mental health and substance abuse counseling with a focus on anxiety and relationships. Ashley specializes as an A.R.T. Certified Practitioner and is very attuned to working with children and adolescents and within the family system. Ashley is also Certified in Mindfulness for Kids & Teens. She specializes in Mindfulness Interventions for ADHD, Anxiety, Trauma, and Emotional Regulation.

Cheryl specializes in working with the Geriatric Population, Children/Adolescents with ADHD, Anxiety & Depression, and Unresolved Trauma Utilizing Art Expression Therapy, CBT, Client Centered, Play Therapy, Power of Positivity, and Building Healthy Self Esteem.

Yvonne Morales

MA, Licensed Mental Health Counselor Intern, A.R.T. Practitioner

With ten years of experience supporting adolescents and adults, Yvonne brings an eclectic, humanistic approach to therapy that honors each person’s unique story, strengths, and lived experiences. Her work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), positive psychology, and narrative therapy, allowing clients to explore their inner world, challenge unhelpful patterns, and reconnect with the parts of themselves that have been overshadowed by stress, trauma, or life transitions. Yvonne is also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a trauma focused, image-based modality that helps clients process distressing memories in a safe, efficient, and empowering way.


Her mission is simple and deeply personal: to help people navigate the challenges of their lives, resolve underlying issues stemming from trauma, and feel supported as they work toward healing and establishing a new normal. Yvonne believes that healing is not about “fixing” what is broken—it’s about reclaiming what is yours, reconnecting with your resilience, and building a life that feels aligned, grounded, and authentically you.

Vinessa Bufford

MS

Vinessa works with  adults, adolescent, and children. Vinessa has over 25 years of experience as a clinician, and 16 years as supervisor in her mental health career.  She has worked with hundreds of individuals and groups in the areas of bipolar disorders, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders and substances use disorders. Vinessa also has worked with individuals in life balance, character development, personal empowerment, self-esteem improvement, grief and loss, empty nesting, and relationships.

Melissa has worked in the mental health, substance abuse and case management fields for 8 years and has a passion for guiding people through their healing journey with motivational interviewing and CBT techniques.

Kevin Donnelly

BS, Certified Recovery Peer Specialist, TF-CBT

Kevin works with children and youth at OCP and in the community. He has many years of experience working in the  behavioral health and Addiction field and is an advocate for youth who are experiencing mental health, behavioral, and/or substance abuse concerns. Utilizing CBT, Kevin brings a gentle, safe, and healthy approach to youth he works with at Ocala Consulting & Prevention.

Melissa Soloff 

LMHC, TF-CBT, Clinical Manager

Melissa is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern and loves to work with at risk youth and trauma survivors. She started working in the field in 2007. Melissa has earned, 2 Master's Degrees, one in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling and the other in Elementary Education. She has been a teacher and has worked with at risk youth. Melissa brings years of experience in working with trauma to the OCP team.

Alex integrates principles of positive psychology, narrative therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy into her work with adolescents and adults. Specializing in trauma, she is passionate about helping clients build resilience, process difficult experiences, and develop practical skills for emotional well-being. She strives to create a supportive and collaborative environment where clients can uncover their strengths, experience personal growth, and move toward meaningful healing.

Jennifer Lee Marie DeLazzari

Jennifer has a master’s degree in mental health counseling and has experience working with clients suffering from trauma, PTSD, Institutional Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Eating Disorders, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Gender Dysphoria, Substance Abuse Disorders, Delusional Disorders and Bipolar Disorder. Jennifer uses Common Factors Techniques , Person Centered Techniques, Rogerian Techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Techniques, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Techniques, Motivational Interviewing Techniques, Behavioral Modification Techniques and Play Therapy Techniques. She is passionate about helping clients empower themselves and get to know themselves to heal and enjoy their lives.

John has worked with children and families for over twenty years including being a caseworker, a mental health assessor, and a therapist for individuals, couples, and families. John has worked as a mediator and understands the importance of good communication and conflict resolution. His background as a case worker has made him aware of the struggles of traumatized children and the difficulties that families experience.

Robert has worked in the mental health field for over a decade. Specializing in adolescents and young adults, Robert has worked in several different settings and age groups. Robert graduated from Webster University with a Master’s of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. Robert specializes in Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.

Emma is a master’s level counselor who works with adolescents, teens, and adult clients. Emma is dedicated to creating a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and encouraged to work toward their personal goals. Emma’s therapeutic approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy, psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, and goal-oriented techniques.
